The LD/ADHD Lecture Series and Support Group meets monthly on the SECOND Tuesday of the month from September through May at PHP.  We offer two opportunities for parent/professional support and information each evening, a Parent Support Group immediately followed by a Lecture Series event given by one or more local professionals.  

 

Parents may come to one or both of these meetings.  Professionals are welcome at the Lecture series. Occasionally an event will be given on a Saturday morning to widen our reach to those who find weeknight attendance difficult.  We ask that you be prompt and allow time for registration before all events.  Pre-registration is mandatory for the Learning Disabilities Simulation events, the earlier the better, as these often fill up quickly. This year, due to conference room space limitations, pre-registration is also required for the September and November meetings. Pre-register through LD-ADHD@php.com .

 

5:45-6:45 pm - Our regular Parent Support Group meetings provide an opportunity for parents to meet informally with experienced facilitators. The informal parent-to-parent meeting provides a forum for sharing ideas, experiences and information. Those who wish to share or simply listen are invited to attend. Being on time is very important so as not to disrupt the group and in order to give all attendees a chance to share their main concern of the evening.  The Parent Support Group is free of charge.  Note: Due to the early start of our Student Panel in March, there is no Support Group meeting that month.

 

7:00-9:00 pm - The LD/ADHD Lecture Series sponsors a monthly presentation by professionals speaking on a variety of subjects of interest to the group.  Parents, relatives and caregivers are always welcome as are professionals who support children and their families. 
 

Events are listed on the PHP events calendar by date, contained in our printed, mailable program brochure, and also available in PDF and individual monthly flyer format. The PDF for the entire season can be printed out on 8-1/2" x 14" paper.

There is a $15 fee per lecture which is to be paid as part of the registration process immediately preceding the night's events.  PHP members ($75 annual fee) may come to our Lecture Series presentations at no charge.
